Well going into spring break I didn’t have anything planned. I was going to stay in Cookeville and work on my Senior project and the fraternity’s website. Well Friday night a group of brothers went out to Nashville and had a great time! The following day 4 of us got in the civic and drove to Jacksonville, FL. Note: We thought we had a place to stay that night, but that room wasn’t avaliable. We didn’t figure this out till outside of Macon, Ga. So we continued on and got there around 4:45.. 5:00am. We found a cheap hotel and stay there for a couple of hours. Just about 7 hours. Woke up that next morning and headed straight to the beach. The weather was awesome. Around the high 60s. The oceans was pretty cold but I was on the beach and didn’t care. Walked around the beach and then found out we had a hotel room at the Omni Hotel. Which is a 4-star hotel and let me tell you what. That place is nice! Went out to eat at Dave and Busters and then went back to the hotel room. Monday we headed back out to the beach and there was some Kappa Deltas from school out there so we hung out with them. It was a lot of fun. That following night we went to an Irish Pub named Lynch’s. This pub was awesome. I walked in and every TV was on soccer. I felt like I was in heaven. Soccer all around me with my friends, it was great!
That night after Lynch’s we drove back because I had to be at an Interview in Nashville. So we left around 1:15am and started our journey back. Around Macon, GA I was getting tired and need a short break. Joseph got us through Macon and Atlanta during the wonderful Rush Hour times! After Atlanta I got back behind the wheel to finish out the trip. The civic was doing great. Just using a little oil here and there but it ran like a champ. Well on Highway 111, the last leg home, I get a flat tire. But the guys were so ready to get home, we changed the tire in like 5mins. It was like Nascar on the side of the road. Luggage out, speaker box moved, car jacked up, tire off, tire on, go go go!!! We got back to Cookeville around 10:00ish. Felt good to be back. Got my tire fixed and headed off to Nashville for my interview.
After the interview, which went good, I headed over to Dustin and Morgan Finns apartment. Dustin is one of my fraternity brothers and they got married last New Years eve. So they had me over for dinner and some good ole catching up time. It was really good to see them and I am glad they are doing great! After dinner I drove back to Cookeville and back got back there around 9ish. I went straight to bed since I hadn’t had that much sleep in the last two days. Felt great!
Wednesday I felt useless, I just cleaned up the room and cleaned up the house. Didn’t really do much all day, and cooked out over at Josh and Joseph that night and watched some people practice some softball. Thursday, I worked some on the fraternity’s website and some on my project. Thursday night a group of us went to see the movie 300. Let me say that movie is awesome!!! We saw it in the IMax theater and man it added so much to the movie it was crazy!
Friday, Rojas and I drove down to Huntsville to see Logan. Logan was having some of the other guys get together at his house. Preston came in, Rojas, BJ came, Little Zeke, George and Brandy, Paul P and his wife, John and Sam, and me. It was a lot of fun. Hanging out with the guys again. Saturday Preston, Zeke, and I went over to Kevin and Stacey’s to see Brooks and them. It was a lot of fun to see Brooks and how much he had grown. Stacey was looking great and so was Kevin. Jonsee and I played a lot in the backyard. She hadn’t been getting much playing time since Brooks has come into the picture. Thats ok, because thats where Unc J comes in. Hehe!
Sunday Rojas and I drove back to Cookeville and got back around 1:00. I didn’t have much school work to do, so I got that stuff out of the way and just laid around. Played outside a little and relaxed. It was a great spring break. Random Spring Break, but never the less a great one!!!
