My Fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta (Fiji), had our annual Pig Dinner in April. It’s our big graduate weekend and everyone tries to come back. It is always great to see the guys I went to college with and how we all turned out. Well some of us went to our favorite place to eat and then had a little fun in the parking lot afterwards. Man it just makes me miss these guys even more!

Formal 2007

// March 26th, 2007 // 1 Comment » // fraternity stuff, photography

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was awesome. I went to Gatlinburg, TN for the weekend for my Fraternity’s Formal. I took one of my great friends Becca Pierce and Paul took Brittany Melhorn. It was actually all my best friends! Crazy! We left Friday around 2:00 and started our journey. When we got to Knoxville we had to make a pit stop and run my Paul’s house. It was good seeing his mom. Got back on the road around 3:45ish to finish out our trip. We planned the whole trip so we wouldn’t run into much traffic and it worked out pretty good. Got to the cabins around 6ish and Nisbit the guy who needs to check in wasn’t there yet, so we ended up finding an open door and moved in. Which was nice. Friday night not everyone got there at the same time, so it was just a lot of hanging out and chilling around the cabin. We had four cabins up there, but the thing is they weren’t right next to each other. So it spread out the people which was ok, I guess it made us quiet since we all couldn’t be in one cabin. There were a couple of hot-tubs in our cabin so there was some swimming done. :)

Saturday, I woke up around 9am and went around to all the rooms to see who wanted breakfast and took up a collection and went to the store. When I got back I started cooking and Brittany came down and helped me cook. We both felt like Grandparents and all of our kids where at the kitchen table eating. It was a lot of fun just cooking and seeing everyone wake up. I think I know how my parents feel when they have a full household. Saturday afternoon we heading into Gatlinburg and walked around to kill some time. Came back to the cabins around 4ish and the girls started getting ready and Paul and I just chilling on the deck. We had to be ready and leave the cabins by 6:15. We were all ready and heading down to the tram that we needed to ride to get to Ober Gatlinburg. Our formal dinner was in the ski restaurant. Dinner was good, not the best but ok. After dinner we headed back down the tram and went back to the cabins and just hung out there for the rest of the night.

Sunday morning everyone in the cabin need to be out at 10am which was the checkout time. Woke up around 8:30 and started cleaning the place. Had some help from Alex and his date. They actually had most of the cabin cleaned by the time I woke up. Just packed up the bags and headed out. On our way out we stopped at the huge Bass Pro Shop. The girls stayed in the car and started going to sleep and Paul and I walked around. We got back to Cookeville around 12 and i went straight to bed. Hehe. Well I hope they recap was good enough for ya. I also have some pictures up on the website. I only had one roll of film with me and kept forgetting to get more. I am going to try and get Paul’s and Brittany’s camera and get some uploaded here.
