Another reason not to trust Microsoft!

Search through Digg.com this morning I ran across this article about Microsoft IE new campaign. Internet Explorer(IE) Mythbusters. It goes through 4 myths about IE and IE8. I think these four myths are some reason why IE is rapidly losing market share. My favorite myth is #4, Internet Explorer doesn’t play well with Web Standards. The reason why I like this myth so much is because I am all about web standards. When web pages are coded to the web standard; browsers and computers render the page a lot faster. When you put in “design hacks” it slows down the performance of the site. Check out the Geektechnica article talking about the Ad campaign.

Microsoft, should just admit IE sucks and learn from FireFox, Safari, and Chrome.

// June 16th, 2009 // No Comments » // family

So this past weekend we celebrated my dad’s grandparents 90th birthday!!! It awesome!!! My grandparents didn’t know we were all going to be there. It was a good surprise for them to see all their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all in one place. My mom came up with idea for each of my dad’s brothers and sisters family picked a color to wear. Our family was the Green team, Uncle Steve’s family was the White team, Uncle Bob’s family was the Dark Blue team, Uncle Bill’s family was the Black team, Aunt Lisa’s family was the Blue team, and Aunt Nancy’s family was the Red team. Here are a couple pictures (coming soon) from the birthday surprise. It worked out really well. Plus Aunt Nancy had a condo downtown Chattanooga so we had the party there. I bet all the residents were like what are all these people with the same color shirts! Also the place had a pool so it was a lot of fun hanging out with all the cousins. It was great to see everyone and see Granddad and Grandmother out there with us!

The first game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament will get under way in just one year’s time at Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium. ESPN blurb:
Exactly one year from today, the eyes of the soccer world will be on Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa, as the host nation kicks off the 2010 World Cup. AP Construction continues on Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg, which will host the 2010 World Cup opener and final. The momentous day will culminate a process for the Rainbow Nation that, according to Local Organizing Committee CEO Danny Jordaan, began in 1994 when the U.S. showed that a nontraditional soccer power could host the World Cup. As South Africa started to plan for a bid, it began to demonstrate…
